Gloomy gloomy day today. But surprisingly, i feel good. I called home earlier around 3pm and talked to my parents and Zara. Mummy sounded ill and was just about to sleep. Get well soon meh :) Zara's going to Brisbane on the 15th, Lucky her. But hey, did i mention that i'm going to Rome on the 16th? I seriously can't wait. But workload is awful. I just want to get it over and done with. One debate down. Still 2 essays, one more debate and a presentation to go before the hols. The debate yesterday wasnt bad at all, better than i expected. It was pretty much a last minute thing, but we did alright. It's funny how your lecturer says little things like pointing out what i said to be really good makes you feel good. Gota give it up for Tom though for the last email. Im still waiting for my laptop to be fixed. Papah said if it costs a lot or if its still not done by next week or something, i should pass it to someone going back home this hols and get it fixed in Brunei. We'll see. I miss my laptop :( Mostly cause my room has been soo quiet without the music. And i want to download new songs!!! I want to say that i've learnt to live without my laptop... HAHA yeah right. But hey, i havent gone crazy or anything. So that's a good sign. HEE! Remember when i mentioned that random people have been knocking on our door? Yeah, it happened again. And not from the front door. From the back where noone could possibly get in. It was me, Umie and Baz in the living room when we heard a knock. We thought it was from the front door until umie said "Guys, its the police". Then we saw them waving thru our kitchen window, so we opened the door. They explained that there was a burglary somewhere at the back and they were investigating. Somehow they got in our backyard and couldnt find a a way out. So they thought they'd just knock on our door and go out to the front. Man, were we freaked out for a while!! HAHA. Seriously, this house is full of random incidents. HAHAHA. Its just Umie and me at home at the moment. The rest went to watch 'Hitman'. We watched it already last time when Baz was drooling over Michael Buble. HEE! Ohh, and i kind of regretted not going to Dashboard Confessional/Maroon5's concert last night. It's okay. I saved money :) Alright... im gona go make something to eat now. p/s: My Puja familia.... I miss you all loads! Tear drop Tuesday, December 04, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli

Oh wow, it REALLY has been quite a while. Much like an unintentional hiatus i guess. Just a lot of things going on around me, both good and bad.. and I've been pretty much caught up with everything. It's crazy. It feels different with Uni. I had a chat with my Environmental Policy debate mates about how it feels different to be master students now, compared to our degree years. The amount of readings. Seriously, the amount of books i've borrowed this past month is more than how many i borrowed the past three years. Haha! I had a bad week last week. Everything bad possibly happened to me. First, my laptop crashed. Apparently, the harddrive failed a couple of tests, so they're waiting for a new one to arrive. It might cost me around 40-70pounds. I'm yet to get a call from the IT shop, not doing a good job at that i have to say. Then, one of the nights I was done with doing work, I was balancing my phone on top of the 6 books i was holding right.. and guess what? I dropped my freaking phone perfectly in my cup of tea that was on the table. That sucked. I panicked and started drying it with my hairdryer. HAHA. So, other things that happened: i fell down the stairs and hurt my back and little pinky, got random cuts on my right hand from i dont know where... erm... and other little stupid things. I was a kluts the whole week. Okay, i'm sleepy. I can't do this. I'll do this quickly: - I finally get to experience a Ziarah with His Majesty in London this Sunday. Going down for a day trip with the rest of the Cardiff people. - I have 2 essays due in 2 weeks. In between that i have 2 debates and a big group presentation. - I like my course a lot. It changes my view on things.. little things... in so many ways. And makes me want to do so much for the world. I've added more goals in my list of things-to-do-before-i-die which i really hope to accomplish in the very near future. - I want to travel around the world. Go Backpacking and want to experience the different culture, and way of living by different groups. I'd probably wana share that experience with another person though. - Our house is awesome clean right now. We've been kind of obsessed with keeping it clean ever since. Which i like :) Oh, Umie and I finally went to one of the cafes in the arcade earlier in the afternoon. We went to the one called "The Plan". It was lovely. We had their hot chocolate with whipped cream and flake. And i had their hot chocolate muffin with ice cream and chocolate sauce while Umie had their scones. Nyaman! It was ermm... proper. Worth the money i spent. Then we met up with Baz and went to Borders where we met Justin Timberlake!!... ... Im kidding. Umie was saying how that guy looked like him. He really did! Only that he had a beard and a pot belly. We were saying how it might be him and that he just didnt want to be attacked by fans. Undercover kinda thing. So when we were about to go out, we went back in to get another look at him.... for quite a while. It REALLY did look like him!! It would really suck if it was really him. HAHA. Oh, i should also mention that he was probably freaked out that we were staring at him cause he kept looking our way and trying to get out of the shop. HAHA. Embarassing much?! =P I cant believe its the 1st of December already. Going to Rome in around 2 weeks. I cant wait! Okay. Good night everybody. Hope you have a good weekend :) Tear drop Friday, November 30, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli

Well HELLO! It has been a while. I have been absent from the online world, only cause i've been busy with Uni *cough*bull*cough* Haha. Okay, maybe also because we (Miskin Posse) have been swamped with guests and random people knocking on our door. In between that, I have tonnes of readings to do and i've just met Richard (my personal tutor) and said master students require a lot of readings and i should read daily and weekly. In other words... everyday! Which i've been trying to... but it takes me ages to read through the readings given out, let alone the 7 books i borrowed from the library. Tsk tsk. We finally met our neighbours and hung out with them outside last Monday (i think!). They gave us a tour around their house then they toured ours. The houses are quite similar, cept ours have more stuff in it. And more awesome. HAHA. They were alright when they were sober, though they're still jocks. They had the courtesy to keep their drinks outside cos we told them we dont drink. Then they kept asking "So you dont drink... ever??" I just said no right. Then they said "Dont you ever get tempted to?" "So what do u drink when you go out?" hahaha. That was Monday ok. Last night.... There was the whole LeCross (sp?) initiation going on. And there was this group of 5 people outside our door. So we opened it and they just started mumbling ... asking for things they've to collect for them to finish right. The things they ask for!! tsk tsk. 2 hot chics popped bazilah's cherry. Hahaha. But they're nice people once we talked to them. They kept apologizing for intruding our house. One of the guys knew where Brunei was even. He pernah transit 6 hours travelling to Aussie. How awesome. They said they'll come by and say hello next time and bring food for us. Haha. Right! Then after a while, the Colum gang stopped by.. on their way back from Tenkaichi. How nice of them really :) Oh, Faye's friend Ali came yesterday to visit. And my cousin, Jem2, came last weekend and we're still looking for accomodation for him. It's nice to have guests. The Posse except me and Baz are going to London this weekend. Gona be a quiet weekend i guess. They'll be back late Saturday. So should be alright. I'll do my readings then. Plus, Baz is entertainment as she is. Hahaha. Awu bah baz... im sorry that we always bully you... huhu *huggiessss* In conclusion, life is awesome right now. I enjoy my course a lot! Though i dont see some of them being implemented back home. But it's still interesting :) And the Posse are awesome <3 Tear drop Thursday, October 25, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli

Last night was awethum (Sean's awesome) HAHA. I was home the whole day until Blackout gig at 8pm. I actually enjoyed the gig even if i didnt know most of the lyrics. I liked the fact that they had 2 lead singers. Worth the 7pounds! Though it would have been more fun if i didnt chicken out on the mosh. They were crazy! But hey, i had a clear view of the whole thing once i got the chance to stand on the steps. HEHE. ~IF ONLY WE COULD FLYYYY~ Yes, their last song was a LimpBizkit's. Then at home, we had a war with out next-door neighbour. They started it! They knocked on our door and we found an empty pizza box that said "Open me", actually there was a crust left. And they wrote "From the boys at #14". But we knew it was from 12. Then we replied with our pizza box and gave them chocolates. Then it went on for a while, and it got more gross by the other. We wanted the last word, but we couldnt be bothered. But we could hear them anticipating our reply. We could see them checking if we got their last message. Haha. Losers much? It was really funny with what we came up with. That was a good laugh for the end of the day. Hahaha. I wonder now if they'll say something if we run into them the next time. Hmm... I don't have class today. But I need to get some books from the library. Oh man, i have tonnes of readings to do. And I have a seminar tomorrow. My first seminar in 4 years? Im gona get some breakfast now. It's still weird to me that we're not fasting anymore. Hehe. Have a nice day everyone! :) Tear drop Wednesday, October 17, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli

Anyways, i've been MIA for about 2 weeks. Just been busy with Uni, Ramadhan and of course, Raya. Chubbs was here til the end of Ramadhan for about a week (supposedly throughout the weekend only) But the MISKIN POSSE convinced him to stay longer HEHE. Then we caught a train to Manchester on Friday. I was going to Aunty Nong's to spend the weekend there, Raya-ing with the family. He was transitting there for a few hours, then went back to Leeds that night. OKAY! THEY'RE SCREAMING LIKE CRAZY! I THOUGHT THEY SAID THEIR GOODBYESS! AND NOW THEY'RE SINGING THE UMBRELLA SONG! GILA ORANG PUTIH NYA ANI! TUMBUK KARANG! WAHAHAHAA So, back to my INTERESTING story. Raya was different this year. In a good way :) The weekend was pretty short, but fun and memorable. Although i was tired and sleepy most of the time. Friday was basically about fetching everyone from the train stations. Saturday morning (6AM), Aunty and I went to pick up my Uncle and Babu from Manchester Airport. Then Aunty Laila and Uncle Andre arrived around 1ish-pm, and by that time we were all so hungry already! What a feast! Sunday was the official Raya day for us, only cause everyone got to wear baju kurung/cara melayu. PLUS, we got to skype with everyone back home. They were all at my place. I was probably the most grateful for technology at that moment =D Oh, and we got some ampau. How more awesome can it get?? HEHE. Bah, im tired. I need sleep. Had a full day of lectures filled with too much caffeine that made me dizzy for a bit. Never again. I've leave you with some pictures then. And with that, good night. Orang sebalah... please die! HAHAHA. Dorang masa ani saying random hello's to passersby and asking about fun factory... asking if its REALLY fun or just basically asking about their night. Palui. Have a nice day tomorrow everyone. BOH! ADA PEREMPUAN2 GATAL MELAYAN AND TANYA NUMBUR BERAPA RUMAH DORANG. TSK TSK TSK. PEREMPUAN2 ITU MENG-INVITE DORANG KERUMAH DORANG SATURDAY ANI. NAMA DORANG LAURA, MARIA, SAM... THAT'S ALL I GOT. OH MAN, I CAN BE A REPORTER OR SOMETHING. HAHAHAHHA Bah, banar ni tidur! Tear drop Monday, October 15, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli

Uni started today. And what a way to start the semester. Had class the whole day. And by that, i mean 9am til 6pm. Four 2-hour lectures. It's crazy. The first lecture had my full attention, then it just went downhill towards the afternoon. I've never felt so sleepy in class EVER! It was a gloomy day as well. I'm still deciding whether to follow through the other optional modules lectures tomorrow .. or shall i stick with what i chose. I'll probably end up with the same enrolled ones anyways. Despite being half awake throughout classes, I feel that i might enjoy this course. I could relate a lot. Im actually looking forward. *cough* hahaha Miskin house is awesome. As well as the Miskin Posse! I want to show you how much space i have in my room, but i left my camera in Brunei and when i reformatted my laptop, i forgot to reinstall my webcam's software. Well done Santy! My room is huge! (when compared to previous ones) And i have a plant. Actually.... Umie, Baz, Farid and I have plants in our room because we're awesome and we want fresh air. HAHA. Can't believe it's already October. Raya's just around the corner. Im going down to Manchester for the first weekend. Babu and Uncle Majid are coming from Brunei. And we lots are gathering there for first day of Raya =D Okay, i need sleep. Waking up for sahur in about 4 hours. Have a nice day lovelies <3 Labels: Cardiff, Miskin posse Tear drop Tuesday, October 02, 2007 of Normalini a.k.a Santy Rosli |
